On 1 July 2009, the Public Trustee moved from a predominantly commission-based to a predominantly effort-based fee system. This new system was part of the biggest reform of the Public Trustee undertaken since 1941 and was a result of years of feedback from clients, their family, carers and other stakeholders.
Our fees are now fairer for clients as they are predominantly based on the services they receive. They also better reflect the work of the Public Trustee.
